For more than a decade, Crawford Hoying had been looking for development opportunities within the City of Cincinnati. During the height of the pandemic, Cushman Wakefield approached Crawford Hoying with an exciting new project that aligned with their vision - The District at Clifton Heights. Trinitas Ventures and Crawford Hoying now serve as master developers and joint venture partners on the mixed-use development.

Located across from the University of Cincinnati at the high point of the city, The District at Clifton Heights is a transformational development connecting campus and community. The District totals five acres in size along both sides of Straight Street, an ideal location that provides premium views in an active, pedestrian-oriented neighborhood. The urban development blends the fast-growing University of Cincinnati community with Cincy locals, bringing together a diverse mix of neighbors, students, employees and visitors by creating a destination to get away from it all, in the heart of it all.

The initial phase of The District at Clifton Heights included The Deacon, a 1,059-bed student housing development that opened in August 2019, and the relocation of the Tri-Delta sorority house, a 34-bed building that opened in January 2022. The newest phases will add a 171-key Tribute by Marriott Hotel (developed and owned by Crawford Hoying), along with student housing, parking and a variety of commercial uses. The District at Clifton Heights will also feature multiple green spaces, outdoor seating and placemaking.
