Southern Scratch-Made Food and Cocktails Establishment, Tupelo Honey, Announced at Westmont at The Lane in Upper Arlington
November 11, 2021
UPPER ARLINGTON, OH – Tupelo Honey announced today that they will soon bring their scratch-made food and handmade cocktails to Upper Arlington. The southern hospitality establishment known for their scratch kitchen and responsibly-sourced fare will occupy 5,500 SF of restaurant plus patio space in the Westmont at The Lane development. This will be the first Ohio location for Tupelo Honey, which will be located at 1690 West Lane Avenue. Construction is set to begin in early 2022, with a targeted opening date of summer 2022.
“We were searching for an up-and-coming, vibrant area for this location,” said Christin Price, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Tupelo Honey. “With the rapid growth in Central Ohio and the dynamic base of people located in Upper Arlington, we knew that Westmont at The Lane was an ideal fit.”
Tupelo Honey will feature a variety of brunch, lunch and dinner options, including their most popular southern dishes such as honey-dusted fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. Farm fresh sides and decadent desserts will add to the authentic southern fare menu.
“Although there has been rapid growth in central Ohio, there aren’t many southern food options,” said Prince. “We’re so excited to introduce people to the amazing food and southern hospitality that we offer. We truly strive to make every guest feel at home.”
In addition to their extensive menu, Tupelo Honey features a robust bar program. Guests can choose from numerous signature handmade cocktails such as “Peach Don’t Kill My Vibe,” a sparkling sangria; “Tupelomo,” a fruity tequila cocktail; and “The Debutante,” a twist on a classic vodka drink with house-made lavender lemonade. A nice selection of wine, beer and liquor - including numerous options from local distilleries and breweries - will round out the beverage menu.
Tupelo Honey focuses on a responsibly sourced ethos, including sustainably grown and “forever free” proteins that are hormone- and antibiotic-free. They even use heirloom wheats for their famous biscuits, which are sourced from a 100-year-old, family-owned mill in North Carolina.
This will be the first Tupelo Honey located in Ohio; more than 100 employees will service the restaurant in a variety of positions - many of which will be sourced locally.
