Transformative 20-Acre Mixed-Use Development Coming to Ann Arbor's South Side

Ann Arbor, MI — Ann Arbor, Mich.-based real estate services company Oxford Companies, together with Crawford Hoying, a full-service provider of each aspect of real estate development, management, construction and sales out of Dublin, Ohio, today announced plans for Arbor South, a 20-acre, mixed-use development in Ann Arbor’s south side. Oxford Companies CEO Jeff Hauptman and Crawford Hoying Principal and Founder Brent Crawford made the announcement.

Upon completion, Arbor South will be a major gateway to the city — a true destination featuring an exciting mix of retail, restaurant and entertainment venues, both local and new to Ann Arbor, among thoughtfully programmed public spaces. The multi-phase project is anticipated to include approximately 1,000 residential units, 76,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, three parking garages,an upscale hotel and multiple parks and community gathering spaces. Conveniently adjacent to I-94, Arbor South is located at Eisenhower Parkway and South State Street.

Arbor South would be the first project on the city’s south side to receive approval under the City of Ann Arbor’s TC1 zoning ordinance, an initiative designed to increase density in areas outside of downtown Ann Arbor with a heavy focus on adding accessible housing to the market. Arbor South’s residential offerings will range from studios to 3-bedroom apartments. Approximately 10-15% of the units will fall under the City of Ann Arbor’s affordable housing threshold, making more housing accessible to thousands of new and existing residents to the region.
